The Spectrum – Emmy-Winning Government/Political Coverage
I produced and wrote the show open and teases in this episode of The Spectrum, orchestrating all visual design choices, camera shot selection and overall production flow. I also booked the interview with the U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine and prepared anchor Colleen Marshall for the interview. The program’s strong reporting and creative execution earned an Emmy® Award in the Politics/Government category from the Ohio Valley Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

I coordinated field crews, live shots and control room execution to deliver accurate, timely reporting under pressure while balancing multiple high-impact stories in a fast-moving broadcast.
Live Debate on Ohio Issue 1
In a first for Nexstar Broadcasting, NBC4 hosted an issue debate ahead of the 2023 August special election in Ohio. At stake: whether or not it should be harder to get a citizen-initiated constitutional amendment on the ballot. I selected the panelists, researched questions and anticipated answers, gathered materials for real-time fact-checking, wrote the show’s open and introduction, and managed the live broadcast and simulcast distribution of the debate across five television stations serving Ohio.
